This contract specifically explains the guarantees that come with a puppy purchased from our home. Your puppy is guaranteed to be in good health at the time of sale and has been inoculated and de-wormed as described in the packet you will receive at the time of your puppy pickup.  Your puppy should be taken to your vet within 72 hours of its pickup for an examination. If there is a problem, it should be reported immediately to us. Please have your veterinarian write what the problem is and what his/her recommendations are and fax them to us. Your puppy will require ongoing vaccinations.  We also recommend that your dog receive a monthly heartworm preventative as directed by your veterinarian. It is also imperative that as a dog owner you license your puppy with the appropriate municipalities. Always be a responsible dog owner and obey all local laws for leashes and sanitation.

Your puppy has been microchipped for its protection and identification. We have made the decision to micro chip to insure your puppy’s safe return and positive identification should he/she be lost or stolen. Included in your puppy packet, you will find a brochure explaining how the microchip works. We have registered your microchip for you. By having our kennel as your back up contact, we are able to make safety arrangements for your puppy if you cannot be immediately reached.

We, the seller, assume no responsibility for veterinary bills, medical expenses or accidental death of your puppy.

The described puppy is guaranteed:

Standing ears, Hips passing OFA prelims (Fair, Good, or Excellent) or ‘a’ stamp (normal, fast-normal or noch-zugelassen)

If described puppy fails to meet this guarantee, he/she can be exchanged for a puppy of equal value. If buyer wishes to keep said puppy, buyer must return registration papers of said puppy and proof of spay/neuter and then exchange will take place. There will be NO monetary reimbursement. Any such claim must be made by 14 months of age, and substantiated by a written report signed by the examining Veterinarian and official OFA prelim report. Breeder must be notified if both ears are not standing by 5 months of age, or notified immediately if ear(s) fall down after 5 months. All guarantees are void if the breeder is not notified, or if the said puppy is bred before the age of 2 years old, before OFA's are done or due to neglect, abuse or accident.

We at Vom Ravenholz take the responsibility for our German Shepherd Dog very seriously. If at any time during your dog’s life you become unable or unwilling to care for your dog, please return him/her to us. We take life long responsibility for the lives we have brought into the world. We want to do everything we can to insure they have a long and healthy life. We do not want our puppies/dogs to end up in rescue/shelter. We are willing to take them back and either have them live out their life here or re-home them if a suitable home is found and it is appropriate.

Most of all, enjoy your puppy. You are embarking upon a long term friendship that will be so rewarding. We always love to receive pictures of our puppies and notes to know how they are doing. We look forward to hearing from you.
